Private scholarships are offered by varying organizations and businesses and can help lessen the cost of your education. Any scholarships listed below are currently accepting applications. Please check back often for new listings. You may also qualify for scholarships offered through Gateway's Foundation and Alumni Association.
Scholarships
Mercyhealth Scholarship Program
We are excited to present the 2024 Mercyhealth Scholarship Application packet with information regarding Mercyhealth’s scholarship opportunities for higher education in healthcare fields. In order to qualify for consideration, you must have a minimum grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale and accepted into or are currently attending an accredited 2 or (preferable) 4-year college or university unless specified in scholarship description. To avoid conflicts, scholarships will not be granted to candidates who are employed or attending competitive area hospitals programs.
SME Education Foundation
The SME Education Foundation has been a leader in supporting the next generation of manufacturing and engineering talent. Our scholarship program awards millions of dollars to hundreds of graduating high school seniors and current college students pursuing an associate or bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, engineering or related discipline.
AAUW Scholarship
Each year, Racine AAUW awards scholarships to Racine County women who are entering the first or second semester of their junior or senior year at a four-year accredited, degree-granting college or university and/or Racine County women entering their third or fourth semester at a two-year college the following fall.
Educators Credit Union’s 2024 Scholarship
Educators Credit Union awards scholarships to graduating seniors based on their academic record, participation in school and community activities, and their demonstration of one or more of the Educators core values: honesty, integrity, fairness, respect, excellence. Graduating high school seniors qualify if they meet their eligibility requirements, which include being the primary owner of an active Prime Share Savings account at Educators Credit Union for a minimum of one year as of the application deadline.
Racine Optimist Club Scholarship
The Wednesday Racine Optimist Club is offering eight (8) $500 academic scholarships for higher education expenses to the students of eastern Racine County for the 2023-2024 school year. To be eligible for the scholarship, you must (1) plan to be a full-time student for the 2024-25 academic school year at a 2- or 4-year college, university, or technical school, (2) be between 17 and 23 years of age, and (3) live east of Interstate 94 in Racine County, Wisconsin.
Adult Students in Scholastic Transition (ASIST) Scholarship
The Wednesday Racine Optimist Club is offering eight (8) $500 academic scholarships for higher education expenses to the students of eastern Racine County for the 2023-2024 school year. To be eligible for the scholarship, you must (1) plan to be a full-time student for the 2024-25 academic school year at a 2- or 4-year college, university, or technical school, (2) be between 17 and 23 years of age, and (3) live east of Interstate 94 in Racine County, Wisconsin.
College Goal Wisconsin Scholarship
Attend a College Goal Wisconsin event to receive assistance completing the FAFSA, complete the online evaluation, and enter a scholarship drawing. You could win a one-time scholarship to help with your college expenses. You can’t win if you don’t participate!
Wisconsin Bakers Foundation Robert W Hiller Scholarship
The Wisconsin Bakers Association (WBA) originally established the Robert W. Hiller Scholarship to honor Robert (Bob) and Sandy Hiller’s lifelong commitment to the Retail Baking Industry. The program intends to provide a financial resource for the education of students who will be the future of the Baking Industry.
